Hi, I’m Shingayi—a dynamic enterprise technology professional by day, a passionate photographer and aspiring filmmaker by night, and a drone pilot extraordinaire on weekends!

My journey into photography began in 2011 when I received a DSLR camera as a gift. From that moment, photography became more than a hobby; it became a creative outlet that brought structure and meaning to my time. However, a turning point came in 2016 after an accident left me with an arm injury. Unable to use my DSLR, I turned to my cell phone for street photography.

This shift transformed my perspective as a photographer. The simplicity and mobility of shooting with a phone allowed me to capture images from unique angles and places I’d never explored before. Since then, I’ve rarely returned to DSLR photography except for a few commissioned projects. My body of work reflects my deep passion for storytelling, offering a fresh and positive portrayal of African life.
